Fishing has slowed down with the hot days of August. However angler's in the know are using Hoppers and other terrestrials with long leaders to bring in good numbers of healthy Rainbows. You will still see a moderate to good Caddis hatch in the evenings so look for those likely areas during the day and go there in the evening.

The Yak is experiencing great fishing at this time. The water level is perfect and clear. Trout are being caught on Olive Wing Thing #8 Silver lightning #16 Chernobyl's and Hoppers. The evenings are show time. The evening Caddis hatch has been exceptional and the best hatch in several years. So make sure you have a good selection of dry Caddis and Caddis Emerger.
