The water level is just starting to drop and the water is clear enough to work the pockets and slicks. Look for Salmon flies during the day and caddis in the eve. You might want to fish Bear Valley Creek and hook up with some post spawned Cutthroat trout. The fishing might be so good you won't even make it up to the Middle Fork!

Forget about hot summer fishing, head up the the Middle Fork and get into some great cutthroat trout action. This little jewel is at a great water level where the Cutthroat are pressed into obvious feeding lanes. Any good attractor pattern with a good dropper nym;ph will produce good cutthroat action.

Not much has changed here but the day's and nights are getting a little cooler. If your looking for West Slope Cutthroat then this is the place to be.. Attractor flies with bead head droppers at about 36 inches down from your dry will get the bigger Cutthroats on the bottom. Watch the evenings for late season Caddis and early season Baetis.

This river can be some of the best dry fly fishing in Idaho. Cutthroats are the name of the game here and reports are saying the river flow is down and clear. The Salmon Fly hatch is winding down but you can still see a few now and again so don't be shy, go ahead a try a few. Basic set up here is attractor dry fly with a bead head dropper.
